I recently discovered Joseph Matthews book "The Art Of Approaching Women", and I am completely amazed by it. I'm usually very skeptical about these sorts of books, but I really believe that Joseph has done this one right.

"The Art Of Approaching Women" is a dating and seduction course, basically providing step-by-step instructions for men to approach and attract women. This book covers all the key areas a guy needs, from meeting a woman, approaching her, getting to know her and so on.

"The Art Of Approaching" is built into 6 main categories, which makes this book so user friendly. It isn't difficult to find what your looking for within the book, due to the smooth layout Joseph has created. The six main categories include: Body language, confidence, approaching, flirting, storytelling and being social.

The thing that I love most about this book is the "confidence" and "approaching" sections. Instead of focusing on how to look better, act better and do things that aren't yourself to attract women, Joseph focuses on teaching you how to feel more comfortable in your own skin, and how to approach women with confidence. Lets face it, men hate getting rejected, and most guys just need some help getting over that fear.

Modeling - Plastic Modeling Kits Considered

As a teenager, and even starting as early as age 6, I liked to build plastic models. At one point I think I had built every single 1:172 scale plastic model which existed. I built race cars, army tanks, HO scale rail-road buildings, and nearly every possible aircraft. In fact, I had so many airplanes hanging from my ceiling with fishing line, that times you could not see the ceiling. The author of this book is a master modeler, and this book is well illustrated. Mr. Jack C. Harris has written an excellent book and he has included chapters about; plastic model kits, how to choose your first plastic kit to build, and how you can work your way up in skill. He also explains the tools you will need to build these models, along with the glues, and paints. There is a great section on airbrushing, and I wish I had this book back when I was a teenager because I could have really used it.

Would you like to learn how to customize your plastic models once you are completed, there is a chapter on that as well. And there is information on how to win and enter contests, and where to display your plastic models where they will be viewed the most. You'd be surprised that museums will be happy to have your plastic models if they are done correctly, and you can even enter them in the local county fair for prizes and accolades.

In the book there is information on joining master modeler clubs, or even how to make your own club with other local hobbyists. And if you are worried about using the right terminology when talking to your modeling friends, then there is a complete glossary in the back, so you use the proper buzzwords. Indeed, I hope you will please consider this if you plan on building plastic models for profit, or as a hobby. Please think on it.

Does adult life begin at the turning of the clock on the twenty first birthday? We all know that it doesn't...it could happen much before, or much later. In Phillip Archer's novel, "With a Gentleman's Heart" readers are given a glimpse into the making of a man and what I think is an atypical twenty year old.

Damon is a dedicated hard worker. He has two jobs to keep him busy and he has two roommates, one of which is a fun loving drinking buddy and the other is an ex-girlfriend close companion who there may still be feelings with. The lives of these friends revolve around work, college, and exploring the possibilities. When Damon's twenty first birthday approaches he is against the typical celebratory plans and chooses to take a road trip by himself instead. Where he ends up and with whom, could possibly change his life. Was it the birthday that did it or the circumstances, or was he already a gentleman at heart? The past is brought into the present and it all comes crashing in together on the beach of South Carolina.

The novel is rich with life and displays a strong character in Damon. The style is a little formal for me, demanding a bit more attention than I am used to giving to reading fiction, but one does become used to it. The plot builds slowly, creating the atmosphere of young adulthood. Phillip Archer's work here is interesting!

Men's Style by Russell Smith - Book Review

Writers on sartorial style tend to have a lovely prose style. This is certainly the case for Russell Smith, author of Men's Style: The Thinking Man's Guide to Dress. His book is full of interesting and entertaining anecdotes, paragraphs and turns of phrase, yet he never comes across as trying too hard. He's able to explain the technicalities of fine dress while writing in plain English -- easier said than done.

The one problem with any style guide is that, at bottom, style is a matter of personal taste, and the rules become more subjective as you gain expertise. Russell does not deny this, but he is also firm about his convictions. I'd personally much rather read a book like this--even if I disagreed with most of the author's prescriptions and proscriptions--than a book full of wishy-washy relativism ("Leisure suits are not my thing, but wear them if you want to." How helpful would that be?).

Rules of style are meant to make dressing less confusing, since "it is useful to know the rules, particularly if you are new to this whole game and don't trust your own taste." Fred Astaire may be able to pull off an outfit that would leave you or I looking like a dressed-up ape, not because he's handsome (he isn't) but because he's a pro. He can break the rules because he knows them, and he knows the loopholes.

The book is a good introduction to men's style, especially traditional and somewhat formal style. It shows you how clothes can make you feel sexy and cool. It shows you how to dress for different occasions. It's also a fun read. But if you're looking for advice on, say, how to pick the best color shirt for your skin tone, or how to dress for your body type, you might want something more practical and technical.

The book has wide margins, which allow quotes, illustrations and sidebars to frame the page. The illustrations, by the excellently-named Edwin Fotheringham, are a nice addition and help illustrate the author's point: a chapter about casual dress features a man dressed in a paisley leisure suit with a gold chain. The caption: "Casual dress is probably the contemporary male's weakest point." Point made.

This is a great gift for a man who is interested in style, or at least in sleeping with women. (If he's interested in sleeping with men, he'll still find it entertaining.) If you have a spouse, brother, or friend who makes abysmal fashion choices, consider giving them this book as an introduction to style. I've combined this book with an old picture book of Fred Astaire or Carey Grant, just to point out how important good style can be.

1. How to be the Jerk Women Love (F.J. Shark)
No questions ask. This is the Ultimate Jerk Bible. F.J. Shark made a wonderful job in writing this masterpiece. The book tours you inside the mind of women, their tactics and defenses in maneuvering the relationship. At the same time as the title suggest, it shows you how a jerk managed to bypass this prime defenses to become the one to control the relationship - THE ART OF CARING LESS. This book is a must read.

2. Art of Seduction (Robert Greene)
If reincarnation is true, then Robert Greene is the reincarnation of Machiavelli. But in this case he is no longer writing in the subject of politics but rather in the secret knowledge of seduction. If I were to ask I would say that all pick up and seduction books have been inspired in one way or another by this book. The Machiavellian style of historical writing that he used in this book is undoubtedly very useful to convince your mind that people since time of memorial is seducing each other. Honestly, I want to see how an academic like Robert Greene plays in the field!

3. The Game (Neil Strauss)
Oh yeah! The game! The book which became the starting point of most so called pick up artist nowadays. Me too start with this one. In my opinion this book is a more solid motivational books rather than a technique book. Though you can learn here the fundamentals of the game, I am sure that it is possible for you to misunderstand or misuse most of the ideas in here if you are stuck reading only this book. However, the skyrocketing motivation this book will give to you can never be discounted.

4. Double Your Dating Attraction is not a Choice (David De Angelo)
De Angelo made a wonderful job in compiling all the theoretical basis, both scientific and philosophical for you to become a real man (jerk). Though you can manage to have success in becoming a jerk even if you don't read him, the insights and knowledge that he offered will help you in understanding why your actions work. Aside from that, his this material is a great additional tool when you teach the art of jerkness to other men.

5. Men are Mars Women Are from Venus (John Gray)
Ha! You wonder why this one is here? Okay, I will tell it to you now! The only reason why I put this book in here is for you to know or have any idea what NOT TO DO or what NOT TO BE to become a successful jerk. Just DO THE OPPOSITE of most the things that are written here and you will have a clear sense of WHAT A JERK IS AND WHAT A JERK IS NOT. The topic of identifying and using CONTRAST in your Art Studies will be useful here!

These are the books that guided me in my own self development course. These are the books that help me to achieve what I am today. I trust these books however in the end, as we all know, the most important variable in your development is yourself. These things are useless if you are convinced by yourself that you can change.

Chapters and critical points are laid out in an easy to comprehend manner and the book is full of funny stories and examples that make "Super Seduction Power" a hoot to read and something that any man will find very enlightening. You learn how to approach women and open them, some cold reading techniques that are sure to get you a few very interesting looks (the good kind, believe me) and also some storytelling and rapport building techniques to make the women totally comfortable with you. Talking to women you've only known for a couple of minutes and "knowing" her better than some of her best friends leaves quite an impression.Part 3. Prizing In these chapters Swinggcat whips out the stuff you've been waiting for. The stuff that gets the girls going crazy for you. Test & frames chick chick As any other part of his book, this one is just as brilliant. We've all had it, you walk up to a woman you'd like to meet only to get rejected faster than Steve Buscemi hitting on Paris Hilton. On second thought, if her reputation is anything to go by I might get some action, but I can turn that "might" into a "most likely" by just reading Real World Seduction. Part 4 explains how to handle chick tests from A to z.Part 5. Putting it all together The conclusion of the book is written as to complete pick up that Swinggat did. I have talks you through the entire process and explains where I used what from the book. You can see the flow of the interaction all the way from the meeting to sex as I have in this real interaction demonstrates he had.

The Ex Squared System is a relationship product written by Matt Huston, a self proclaimed relationship guru. In his book Mr. Huston claims that he can show you how to use "dirty psychological tricks" and "psychological hot buttons" to help you get your ex back with a carefully laid out step by step plan.

Content - This might be the only area where you might have an issue with this book. Unlike many relationship books on the market The Ex2 System or Ex Squared System sort of takes off the gloves and doesn't sugar coat what you can do to get your ex back. It is more of a gut level approach to getting your ex back in that you will be using psychological tricks in order to bring about the desired result, which is in the end, getting your ex back. You're not going to get a whole lot of the traditional advice on getting your ex back like talking things through or trying to get your ex to attend couples therapy.

For some this might be a problem while for others it won't. Some guys might think that this is game playing or underhanded or deceitful while others might feel that the end justifies the means. The additional book is called the How to Train Your Girlfriend manual. I know, kinda cheesy but like everything in The Ex Squared System, Matt Huston just gets right to the point so there's no question of what you need to do to get your ex back and keep them interested in you from here on out.

As long as you know that this isn't some sort of group hug, touchy feely book you'll be quite pleased with the content and also the results. Tom Massey, who is a long time corporate leadership trainer, has produced a truly excellent book on how to navigate through life with commitments to high standards, integrity, enthusiasm, and good health. His ten points offer a road map based on wisdom and experience, his and others. The book is well written and organized, at the same time being an enjoyable read.

As a retired Chief of Police and the author of my own book, Leading beyond Tradition, it was my responsibility to provide the employees and citizens with such a map for their safety and work experience, as well as the quality of life for the community. I have taught leadership extensively in the public and private sectors and recognize there is, at best, inconsistency in what leadership actually is and how to make it work in today's world. Leadership is about people and Mr. Massey clearly recognizes those principles that constitute success.

The ten commitments Mr. Massey lists and describes are really what it takes to not only lead, but live your life to its fullest with honor and dignity. The criticality of each commitment cannot be overemphasized, and by combining all ten the practitioner lives the behaviors and models them to everyone. One's attitude is a choice, solely that of the individual, and the commitments in Mr. Massey's book are the guide to follow. While they are nothing new, they are what is necessary.
